Chief Dental NCO: Serve as Principal Chief NCO of Dental Service Sections in HHC of MEDCOM for echelons above Corps, large dental clinics, dental laboratories, or dental organizations. Supervises general administrative functions and coordinates personnel assignments. Evaluate training programs and requirements. Assist Commander in the administrative and technical supervision of subordinate dental facilities. Assist in the planning, development and management of the command budget programs. Coordinates and supervises unit preventive maintenance and supply programs. Assist in the development of operational plans. Provide technical assistance in planning and staffing of facilities.
CHIEF MEDICAL LOGISTIC NCO: Principal Chief Logistic NCO; serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics in HHC of MEDCOM, Logistics Plans and/or Operation Sections of G4, Command Section in Headquarters of Medical Logistics Management Center, and Headquarter Section of Theater Medical Management Center (TMMC). Supervise large sized logistics division medical supply, stock control, property management and storage activity. Manage the functional areas pertaining to the highly specialized and technical materiel and services utilized in support of the health care delivery system. Exercises staff responsibility for units engaged in medical supply and service operations and other logistical support. Serve as a focal point for medical property management and accountability procedures. Advise staff on matters regarding supply and services support and other medical logistical functions. As a materiel manager, develops, coordinates, and supervises the supply support portion of an integrated logistics support plan. Duties are performed in MTOE/TDA organizations, both CONUS and OCONUS.
CHIEF OPERATIONAL SERGEANT: The Chief Operations Sergeant assists commanders in Force Integration, Directive and Document Development, in organizing, and coordinating the company/battalion/brigade and supporting unit’s operations. He is the Chief noncommissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of the operations in the absence of the Battalion Executive/Operations Officer. The Chief Operations Sergeant advises the Company/Battalion/Brigade/DISCOM Commander on the current and future employment of the unit. He maintains the current operational status of the Battalion/Brigade/DISCOM. He organizes, deploys and supervises the field Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
COMMAND SERGEANT MAJOR AND SERGEANT MAJOR: Enlisted soldiers who attain the distinction of being selected to be command sergeant major are the epitome of success in their chosen field, in this professional of arms. Except sergeant major of the Army, there is no higher grade of rank for enlisted soldiers, and there is no greater honor. The command sergeant major carries out policies and standard of the performance, training, appearance and conduct of enlisted personnel. The command sergeant major advises and initiates recommendations to the commander and staff in matters pertaining to the local NCO support channel. Perhaps slightly wiser and more experienced than the first sergeant, the command sergeant major is expected to function completely without supervision. Like the old sage of times past, the command sergeant major's counsel is expected to be calm, settled and unequivocally accurate, but with an energy and enthusiasm that never wanes, even in the worst of times. Assignable to any billets in the Army, the command sergeants major is all those things, and more, of each of the preceding grades of rank. The sergeant major is generally the key enlisted member of staff elements at levels than higher than battalion. The sergeant major's experience and ability are equal to that of the command sergeant major, but the sphere of influence regarding leadership is generally limited to those directly under his charge.
