[WOODWORKING MACH OPER]
Operates one or more woodworking machines, such as planer, sander, wood lathe, drill press, band saw, circular saw, or jointer, to cut and shape wooden articles.
May perform simple carpentry and cabinetmaker tasks. Must know working characteristics of the more common woods. Should be able to read and interpret blueprints. Note—For individuals who are qualified in both woodworking machine operation and hand carpentry, use SSN 050.
