Fuses metal parts together to construct metal objects or to repair broken or cracked metal objects; uses electric arc and oxyacetylene welding and burning apparatus.
Must know the advantages and disadvantages of each type of welding and the conditions under which each can be used most advantageously. Must be able to perform the duties of both SSN 255 and SSN 257.
