MOS 2148, Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Repairer/ Technician

The EFV repairman/technician under supervision performs basic duties incident to inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of the AAAV family of vehicles. The EFV Repairman completes basic shop administrative forms and records. At the Gunnery Sergeant to Corporal level, the EFV repairman supervises and mentors junior Marines and performs various duties incident to inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of the EFV as well as maintenance management and recovery according to grade.


Prerequisites.
Must have a MM score of 105 or higher.

Requirements.
(1) Complete the Assault Amphibian Basic Repairman Course (13 weeks), Camp Pendleton, CA.
(2) Complete the AAAV Intermediate Repairman Course after promotion to Corporal and have a minimum of 24 months obligated service remaining upon completion of the course.
(3) Marines completing Drill Instructor, Recruiting Duty, etc., should re-attend the intermediate course prior to FMF assignment.
(4) Must qualify as a CWS II swimmer.
(5) Complete the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Basic Repairmen Course, Camp Pendleton, CA.
(6) Complete the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Intermediate Repairman Course, Camp Pendleton, CA.
