The weapons and tactics crew chief instructors train qualified crew chiefs in the weapons system for operation in a threat environment.
Prerequisites.
Must have a final secret security clearance.
Requirements.
(1) Designated helicopter/tiltrotor/fixed-wing crew chief, airborne radio operator/in-flight refueling observer/loadmaster or tactical systems operator/mission specialist.
(2) Graduate of the MAWTS-1 WTCCI course.
Duties.
(1) Assist in the instruction of crew chiefs and aerial gunners/observers in the development of their tactical proficiency.
(2) Provides instruction in the operation and employment of the weapons system.
(3) Performs classroom and flight instruction on various facets of the weapons system.
(4) Instructs on current enemy capabilities and the tactics to counter enemy threats.
