As a member of a railroad train crew, receives signals from and transmits signals to LOCOMOTIVE ENGINEER (SSN 110) relative to train movement. Switches trains and railroad cars from one track to another, couples and uncouples cars, stakes flags and flares in emergencies, and performs other related tasks.

Performs a variety of woodworking and metalworking tasks in the repair and maintenance of railway cars.

047 - TRAFFIC MAN, RAILWAY
[TRAFFIC MAN, RY]

Maintains records of location and movement of railway cars, and directs the movement, switching, and distribution of cars to specific locations in a railroad yard.

058 - CONDUCTOR, RAILWAY
[CONDUCTOR, RY]

Supervises operation of a railway freight train and is responsible for prompt movement of train to destination.

069 - RAILWAY CHIEF

Supervises the operations of a military railway system and coordinates the activities of such enlisted railway specialists as brakemen, traffic men, conductors, yardmasters, and railway clerks.

093 - HORSE TRAINER

Trains horses or mules for single, double, or multiple hitch work, and to the bridle and saddle. 

094 - HORSESHOER

Shoes horses and mules, and performs the incidental forging required to fit metal shoes to animals in such a manner as to interfere as little as possible with the natural gaits of the animals. 

102 - LAUNDRY FOREMAN

Supervises and coordinates the activities of personnel in a fixed or mobile laundry.
