Inspects, tests, maintains, and repairs Diesel engines, accessory equipment, and assemblies on stationary, mobile, or self-propelled equipment.  Must have knowledge of the theory, construction, operation, and repair of Diesel powered engines.

014 - AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

Inspects, tests, maintains, and repairs all types of gasoline-powered automotive vehicles. May perform overhaul on engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and other assemblies. May repair amphibian trucks, motorcycles, or motor scooters. May supervise other AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICS performing first and second echelon repair work.

143 - PAINTER, VEHICLE

Paints automobiles, motorcycles, tanks, trucks, and other mobile equipment; mixes paint; uses brush or spray gun. 

172 - BODY AND RADIATOR REPAIRMAN

Repairs bodies, fenders, and radiators of motor vehicles. Removes dents in metal bodies and fenders by hammering with properly shaped ding hammer and ding block.

215 - STORAGE BATTERY ELECTRICIAN

Tests, charges, repairs, and rebuilds storage batteries. Examines and tests unserviceable batteries.

240 - TIRE REPAIRMAN

Vulcanizes, retreads, or recaps pneumatic tires, and repairs inner tubes.

244 - TRACTOR DRIVER

Operates a caterpillar or wheel tractor to drag or tow material and equipment.

245 - TRUCK DRIVER, HEAVY
[TRUCK DRIVER, HVY]

Operates one or more of the following vehicles of 2-1/2-ton capacity or more, used to haul supplies, equipment, or personnel: Trucks, tractor trucks, trailer trucks, busses.
