Instructs in the means of identification, characteristics, and tactical use of the various field chemical agents. Conducts training in the use and care of gas masks and other CW protective equipment.
CHEMICAL WARFARE MAN, GENERAL (979)
Chemical Warfare Basic
This classification is used to designate a chemical warfare enlisted man who has received the minimum essentials of basic military training, and who has been trained in the functioning of the 4.2-inch mortar and of the mortar squad, and in first and second echelon care and maintenance of chemical warfare equipment.
CONTROL CENTER TECHNICIAN (768)
Supervises and instructs enlisted men in such techniques as plotting, intercept procedure, and control of aircraft by radio communication as necessary to effect the maintenance and repair of telephone installations and radio equipment for plotting boards and ground-to-air communication.
