MOS 6244, Fixed-Wing Transport Aircraft Specialist, C-12

Transport aircrew men are responsible to perform duties incident to the operation of Marine C-12 Fixed-Wing Transport Aircraft.


Prerequisites.
(1) Must be skill qualified in a primary MOS from any of the following OccFlds: 60/61/62, Aircraft Maintenance; or 63/64, Avionics.
(2) Must volunteer for aircrew training.

Requirements.
(1) Must have a satisfactory performance in primary MOS duties for the initial 6-month assignment to VMR-1.
(2) Meet the requirements of references (aj) and (ak), the USN Manual of the Medical Department.
(3) Complete all requirements for Water Survival/Water Physiology.
(4) Complete all requirements contained in appropriate NATOPS manual or syllabi peculiar to the C-9 Fixed-Wing Transport Aircraft.
(5) Complete the C-12 Aircraft Systems Course.
(6) Complete all requirements contained in appropriate NATOPS manual or syllabi peculiar to the C-12 Fixed-Wing Transport Aircraft.
