MOS 7312, Fixed-Wing Transport Aircraft Specialist, KC-130J

This is a temporary necessary MOS used to identify the enlisted ground maintenance technician and aircrew member training during the introduction of the KC-130J. Specific enlisted primary MOSs will be designated after sufficient aircraft fielding increases.


Prerequisites.
Must be qualified maintenance technicians or enlisted aircrew holding MOS 6216, 6232, 6242, 6256, 6286, 6316, 6336, 7372, or 7382.

Requirements.
(1) Complete the appropriate formal school at VMGRT-253 FREST, MCAS Cherry Point, NC or complete an equivalent OMA Contractors Maintenance Course for the appropriate MOS.
(2) Complete the Maintenance Training Management and Evaluation Programs (MATMEP) level II asterisk items for the appropriate MOS. The level II asterisk items are the mandatory "Training Tasks" contained in the formal school training tracks.
(3) Enlisted aircrew must complete all requirements contained in the appropriate NATOPS Manual or syllabi peculiar to the KC-130J aircraft.
