Artillery Repairman, Heavy Antiaircraft (AAF)
Inspects, tests, and performs major repairs, unit replacements or complete rebuilding of antiaircraft artillery of larger than 4-0-mm caliber in a mobile or fixed artillery repair shop.
Determines causes of malfunctioning of equipment by visual inspection and by use of such testing devices as Vernier calipers, pressure gauges, and spirit levels.
Using such hand and bench tools and equipment as hammers, screw drivers, various size socket and straight wrenches, hand-power drill, block-and-tackle, and hoists, repairs and replaces defective assemblies of breech-block and firing mechanism, recoil and counter-recoil systems, shock absorbing devices, and traversing and elevating mechanisms.
