Stores and issues all gear required by a unit to load and unload ships. Receives, stores, issues and maintains records of
cargo gear such as tow motors, fork lifts, blocks, slings, feeds, marlin spikes, pallets, hooks, and ropes used to load and unload ships.
Sharpens tools, cleans equipment and keeps gear in good repair by replacing and refitting parts.
May supervise a group of men in repairing cargo gear.
