Performs one or more of the following clerical and technical duties in connection with the operation of a repair shop, an aircraft engineering section, or other maintenance service center.
Keeps records of incoming repairs, work orders, and job programs on vehicles, planes, or equipment; expedites flow of work; determines availability of material at all times; prepares reports and correspondence. In Aviation maintains log books for aircraft, engines, propellers, and other aircraft parts and assemblies.
Note—Use appropriate title. For nontechnical clerical personnel in shops use SSN 055 or SSN 405. See also SSN's 242, 348, 793, and 848.
