845 - HEAVY ARTILLERY CREWMAN

Performs one or more duties incident to the loading, aiming, firing, and minor maintenance of a heavy artillery piece, such as the 6"/47 cal. or 155mm gun used as either seacoast or field artillery.
May load, aim, and fire 155mm howitzers. May perform supervisory duties incident to the control, coordination, and tactical employment of one or more heavy artillery pieces and their crew members. Must be capable of performing all of the basic duties in the gun crew. Note—Use SSN 603 for personnel qualified only on the 155mm howitzer.
