Makes forecasts of weather conditions based on analysis of data recorded on weather maps.
Supervises the preparation of weather studies and maps; records meteorological data on maps to show regions of high and low pressure, precipitation, storms, and fronts. Makes analysis indicating the probability of occurrence of specific weather phenomena. Must have sufficient knowledge of meteorology to enable him to anticipate weather conditions accurately from data recorded by Weather Observer (SSN 784).
