911 - ARMORER, AIRCRAFT

Inspects, repairs, and maintains such aviation ordnance equipment as machine guns, aerial cannon, bomb release mechanisms, flare racks, and gunsights.
Loads ammunition belts; arms bombs, rockets, torpedoes, and mines, and installs them on racks. May repair small arms. May install and boresight gun cameras. Must be thoroughly familiar with armament inspection and maintenance procedure and with safety regulations pertaining to the handling and storage of explosives. Note:—See also SSN's 563 and 612.
