973 - NAVIGATOR

Plots course and navigates airplane over land and sea by dead reckoning and by celestial, radio, and radar navigation.
Tests and inspects all navigation equipment; receives weather reports and instructions as to destination, course, and time of arrival; uses navigation instruments such as driftmeter, peloris, octant, radio compass, aperiodic compass, computes effects of various wind and weather factors on course; maintains logs. Must be able to determine accurately position of aircraft at any time during flight.
Must pass flight physical examination.
