Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs manual and automatic telephone and telegraph station and central office equipment.
Tests circuits, locates and diagnoses trouble, and corrects difficulty by repairing, replacing, or adjusting such equipment as relays, lamps, jacks, plugs, cords, repeater coils, switches, selectors, terminal banks, generators, rectifiers, and brushes. Must be thoroughly familiar with the functioning of circuits, and with the fundamentals of telephone repair and adjustment.
