Operates a teletype, simplex, or other type of telegraphic typewriter for transmission and reception of communications.
Must be able to operate teletype equipment at a minimum speed of 20 words per minute. Must be thoroughly familiar with the phonetic alphabet, teletypewriter procedures, and cryptographic and transmission security measures.
