Prepares food, using prescribed recipes and daily menus as a guide.
May supervise and coordinate the activities of mess per- sonnel in the preparation and serving of food. May prepare daily menus, maintain records, and requisition food. Must be thoroughly familiar with operation of a field range, slicing and trimming of cuts of meat received from the commissary, and mess sanitation, economy, and management.
