152 - PHOTOGRAPHER, STILL

Makes indoor or outdoor photographs of military personnel, equipment, activities, and other subjects for publicity, training, or instructional purposes.

Selects and arranges subject matter to secure proper emphasis, adjusts camera accordingly, and takes pictures. May perform darkroom work, including film and paper processing, printing, and enlarging of still photographs. May make and process copies of documents, maps and photographs.  Must understand the mechanics, operation, care, and minor maintenance of still cameras of various types and their accessories. Should have knowledge of the fundamentals of optics, filters, use of auxiliary lighting units, and use of various chemical solutions and laboratory equipment used to process negatives.  Noteā€”See also SSN 155.
