Determines the salvageability of supplies and equipment; reclaims, sorts, classifies, disassembles, or otherwise prepares salvage for shipment or repair by appropriate specialists.
Must have a general knowledge of salvage operations and of the capabilities of maintenance units in various echelons. Note—This SSN will be secondary for persons also qualified in more specific specialties, as, for example, Cobbler (SSN 204), Automotive Mechanic (SSN 014), and Field Artillery Mechanic (SSN 913).
