Determines shortest practicable routing between points and computes freight rates and charges, using railroad guides and rate tables. Prepares correspondence relative to quotation of rates on over, short, and damaged shipments. Files claims with transportation companies for overcharges.
Must be thoroughly familiar with methods of determining classification of freight and computation of freight rates. Note—See also SSN's 573 and 574.
