[INVENTORY CLK]
Performs various duties incident to the making of physical inventories of supplies and equipment.
Supervises and assists stock handling personnel in taking inventories according to prescribed procedures. May operate as a member of a mobile inventory crew taking annual inventories, or may be permanently assigned to a unit as supervisor of a cycle inventory crew. May check on warehouse, stock control, and inventory procedures, and recommend changes.
Must be exceedingly accurate. Must be thoroughly familiar with inventory practices and procedures. Must know stock classification. Should have sufficient knowledge of warehousing and stock control to be able to make recommendations for changes that would facilitate the taking of inventories.
