Performs various stockroom duties incident to the procurement, receipt, storage, and issue of photographic and related supplies and equipment, including cameras, sensitized materials, chemicals, motion picture projectors, and lithographic and duplicating supplies and equipment.
Receives supplies and checks them against invoices and bills of lading; stores supplies in bins, racks, or compartments in such a manner as to facilitate issue, filling of requisitions, taking of inventories, and to provide maximum protection against damage and deterioration; receives and fills requisitions; maintains warehouse or stockroom records, and takes inventories. Packs and ships photographic supplies.
Must be thoroughly familiar with nomenclature, appearance, and interchangeability of photographic supplies, equipment, and parts of equipment. Must know the perishability and deterioration properties of sensitized materials. Must be able to inspect and test photographic supplies and equipment. Should have general familiarity with warehousing procedures and with regulations governing accountability and responsibility for government property.
