847 - TRAINING AIDS SPECIALIST

Performs a variety of duties incident to the receipt, storage, distribution, maintenance, and minor repair of all types of training aids, such as motion picture films and equipment, film slides, lantern slides, photographs, charts, posters, portfolios, models, and specimens.
Maintains records and compiles reports pertaining to utilization of training aids. Repairs and rewinds motion picture films. May operate 16mm silent and sound projectors and film strip projectors. Must have a thorough knowledge of film library bookkeeping system and procedures and of shipping regulations and facilities pertaining to training aids.
Must know methods of packing training aids for shipment. Must be thoroughly familiar with film cataloging systems of both the Army and the Navy. Note—See also SSN 977.
