Nodal Network Systems Operator-Maintainers are responsible for making sure that the lines of communication are always up and running. They install, operate, maintain and repair strategic and tactical nodal systems.

NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYS OPR-MNT: Installs, operates, and maintains network management facilities for control and management of Brigade and Corp networks.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the baseband portion of the Hub Node System AN/TSC-169 in the Brigade Signal Network Extension Detachment. Qualifying scores.
(a) A minimum score of 105 in aptitude area EL and 105 in aptitude area SC in Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test administered prior to 2 January 2002.
(b) A minimum score of 102 in aptitude area EL and 105 in aptitude area SC on ASVAB test administered on and after 2 January 2002.
Ability to read, comprehend and clearly enunciate English. Ability to work for extended periods in a confined area. Be eligible for SECRET access under AR 380-67.
Course Scope:
During training, the student will acquire skills and knowledge to install, operate, and maintain the Joint Network Node (JNN) AN/TTC-59 to provide Field Level Maintenance (formally known as unit level maintenance and direct support level maintenance) for the Joint Network Transport Capability-Spiral (JNTC-S). Soldiers skills will be reinforced through a Brigade
wide FTX, the Warrior Ethos Combat Skills necessary to operate and survive in a hostile/combat environment.
Special Information:
Course is partially contractor trained. The government training consists of the one week Capstone FTX. Under normal circumstances DOD Contractor Personnel are not candidates for enrollment. No Foreign Nationals are allowed to attend this course.
