Station Commander:  Position equates to a Platoon Sergeant.  Responsible for ensuring the station makes its assigned monthly mission with integrity; responsible for ensuring new Soldiers report to ship for training on time; responsible for the welfare, morale, motivation, administration, technical training, guidance, counseling, supervision and professional development of assigned personnel.

Company Operations and Training NCO:  Primary trainers of the Station Commanders. COT’s are responsible for assessing, planning, conducting, and evaluating training of station commanders and recruiters.  During this process, COT’s identify training deficiencies and develop a needs based company training plan ICW company leadership.  COT’s conduct primary training for policy, doctrine, and new information management systems and technology changes emanating from HQ, USAREC.   

Guidance Counselor:  Responsible for interviewing and processing qualified applicants for enlistment with integrity.  Responsible for presenting, counseling, and recommending courses of action of specific enlistment options as a viable career.  Discusses individual goals pertaining to training, education and promotional opportunities; uses extensive technical knowledge of regulations, automated systems and advanced techniques to influence prospective enlistees.  Responsible for quality control, before and after ship paperwork, enlistment security screening, and reserve accessions procedures.

Station Commander:  Position equates to a Platoon Sergeant.  Responsible for ensuring the station makes its assigned monthly mission with integrity; responsible for ensuring new Soldiers report to ship for training on time; responsible for the welfare, morale, motivation, administration, technical training, guidance, counseling, supervision and professional development of assigned personnel.


 

79R50 - Skill Level Five

First Sergeant:  Responsible for ensuring each station meets their annual recruiting mission for Regular Army, Army Reserves, and special missions with integrity; responsible for developing the NCO Corps as well as morale, health, and discipline of the Soldiers; assist the Company Commander with challenges affecting mission and unit cohesiveness.

Master Trainer (MT’s):   Primary trainers of the Company Operations and Training NCO (COT). MT’s are responsible for assessing, planning, conducting and evaluating training of COT NCOs and First Sergeants.  During this process, MT’s identify training deficiencies and develop a needs based battalion training plan ICW battalion leadership.  MT’s coordinate and conduct primary training for policy, doctrine, and new information management systems and technology changes emanating from HQ, USAREC.  Additionally, MT’s manage all developmental programs and the battalion’s PME OML.

Operations NCO:  Serves as NCO in charge of a recruiting battalion operations section.  Responsible for the communication and detailed information to operate the battalion to success by mission accomplishment.  Monitors production indicators and statistics and supervises administrative, moral and medical waivers processing.  Analyzes regulatory guidance and prepares staff recommendations.  Second hand to the Battalion Command Sergeant Major.

Senior Guidance Counselor:  Supervises the Army Liaison Office in a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) ensuring the guidance counselors whether processing and enlistment for the Army or Army Reserve interpret the test and physical results; verify the applicant’s eligibility and matches qualifications with Army needs.  The Senior GC is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of all enlistment packets.  Uses automotive systems to access packets, and job classification qualification.  Counsels each applicant on enlistment options, commitments and responsibilities, ensuring that all requirements are met.

Course Scope:
The curriculum is divided into seven segments; Analysis, Mission Planning, Prospecting, Sales, Accession/Ship, Technology and ARC Support. These are the training modules assigned to this course. The largest segment is devoted to the study of sales techniques and communication skills designed to equip the Army Recruiter with the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to enlist qualified men and women into the US Army. The course uses conceptual, analytical, and procedural applications in all aspects of training.
